About Joel
Joel Angel Guadarrama is the founder of Archon & Partners. He helps small architecture firms get their week back from admin with AI.
Navy, then brand strategy
After high school, he spent nearly a decade in U.S. Navy intelligence. That is where he first worked with machine learning, years before AI became an everyday tool.
After the Navy, he moved into brand strategy and design, working with professionals from funded startups to established firms in finance and AI.
Building with AI
Since 2024 he has built automations, AI systems and AI agents for his clients and his own practice: workflow automations, searchable knowledge bases, and agentic sales and finance databases.
Why architecture firms
Archon started when architecture firms in Medellín asked him for help with their admin. In every conversation the same thing came up: talented architects losing their week to supplier quotes, invoices, follow-ups and the monthly close. In 2026 he interviewed architecture studios about how their work actually runs, and that research shaped the Admin Map Archon uses today.
How he works
- He does every Admin Map himself, and the report is written in plain language for the studio owner.
- Everything is built inside the studio's own email, Drive and tools, in the studio's own accounts. There is no new software to learn.
- He doesn't touch drawings, renders, BIM or anything that needs an architect's signature. Only the admin around them.
- He works in English and Spanish, with studios in the US and Latin America. He is originally from Los Angeles and lives in Medellín, Colombia.
Archon is a young practice, and Joel is the person you talk to from the first call to the last build.
